我々は日本に少ないけれどとても深いつながりを持った友人たちがいる。ひろもその中のひとりだ。我々は家族のように思い、そして私の二人の息子達を養子に迎えたいという申し出を受けたばかりだ。ひろはアーティスト／陶芸家でオブジェや茶道用の茶碗を作っている。マリアは師範ですでに人生の大半を茶道に打ち込んできた。私は数年前より茶道を始めて、ふらふらと楽しみながら“茶道の道”を歩んでいる。

マリアと私は東京に住んでいたので日本語でよく話すが、それは日本語へ傾倒しているというより、多分もっとたくさんの意味が含まれていてスペイン語では同じ言葉が見つからないからだ。例えば、美しいポルトガル語の“サウダージ”のように私にはとても訳しきれない言葉だ。だから私が掲載したものはわずかしか訳せないので、ここでご説明したいと思う。

先週の金曜日我々はメキシコシティ近くのクエルナヴァカへ行った。「マリアとひろ」のコラボでウーゴ・ヴェラスケスとアウロラ・スアーレスの工房でニューヨークにいた頃マリアのお茶の先生だった山田先生の遺灰を少し使って茶碗を完成する約束をしていた。茶碗はひろが作り、マリアが釉薬を塗る予定だった。ウーゴとアウロラからはすでに私が代わりを務める事を了解してもらっていた。

ひろとたつえの訪問の目的には家で友人たちを招いて日曜日に“茶会”を開く目的が含まれていた。そのためにずーっと使われていなかった家の３階に広くてオープンでいつも隣のメキシコ公園の木々が見えるスペースを準備した。

そのスペースはただ、畳（稲藁で出来ている）二畳と道具のみで飾られていて、畳の正面には二メートル近いマゲイの葉が一枚置かれ、壁にはマリアの掛け軸（ペルガミーノ、私達の言葉に当てはまらないので、或いは英語のスクロールと言った方がいいだろうか）、「鳥」という題名で錆と東洋のインクで黒を基調とした作品が飾られている。

マリアは土曜日から日曜日の夜をとても具合悪く過ごした。体中に痛みを抱え収縮を感じていた。

彼女のかかりつけの医者の一人に連絡し、麻酔剤を処方してくれたお陰で快方に向かった。
マリアは茶会を最高にエンジョイした。

ひろは招待客にお礼を述べながら、この茶会は裏千家でも表千家（２大流派）でもない、マリア千家だと伝統とは関係なく個人的な意味合いで言った。誰も彼女をじっとさせる事は出来ず、上がったり、下がったり、立ち上がったりして最後は招待客一人一人にお別れをして、ドアのところで見つめるのをやめるまで待っていた（こんな風に皆が無事帰るまで一緒にいた）。そして疲れて帰ったが、とても満足して私と話して眠りについた。

まったく眠れず、落ち着かない状態で痛みと共に朝を迎えて、出来るだけ早く放射線の治療に行きたいと言った。最終的には脱水症状の改善と鎮痛剤の処方を試みたが心停止の方が先に訪れ、辛い痛みが長引くことなく終焉を迎えた。全部終わり、彼女の最後の言葉は“もうこれ以上無理”だった。手を差し出したがすぐに２０名かそれ以上の医師や看護士達に蘇生するために外に出て場所を空けるように頼まれた。

斎場に到着した後、ひぐらし先生が献茶を捧げ、その後マリアの心にとても近いフリアン・エルナンデス神父によるミサがマリア、家族そして友人たちのためにとり行なわれた。

Well Kathleen, you can do two things:

1.- If you navigate into the File>Import>Projects/Libraries, you can merge the libraries.

I assume that like me, you have a MacBook Pro that you use on site, and a desktop system on your home or office that stores all your images. In this case, you would like to export your images from the portable and import them to your desktop.

2.- Export your project as a new library (this will allow you to export smart albums and other adjustments on your project) from the MacBook Pro's library and import the library to your desktop system, including all the changes in your project.

Finally Apple released Aperture 3.0, I just finished downloading the trial version, and to complete install, I needed to rename the old aperture application, then install, and one thing I noticed is that it is only compatible with Intel Based Macs.

Si tan sólo supiera cuál de las puntas de esta maraña es la correcta, la tomaría entre mis dedos y empezaría a vestir con ella mis manos para protegerlas por si de pronto debo cargar con ellas objetos rudos como las esculturas de acero oxidadas, o acariciar fotografías chismosas que delatan a María y que viven ahora ajenas al mundo, tratando siempre de dominarlo, de leerlo no para entenderlo, sino para explicarle que las cosas deben ser distintas.

Veo tus líneas Alfredo y encuentro que te has vuelto un cronista de los días de María. A veces cuando te escucho, cuando miro las cosas que hacía, cuando veo sus libros, la música que escuchaba, me queda claro que ella venía del lado de la desobediencia.

El viernes pasado fuimos a Cuernavaca, cerca de la Ciudad de México, a cumplir con el cometido de hacer al alimón (María y Hiro) unas tasas de té en el taller de Hugo Velázquez y Aurora Suárez con un poco de las cenizas del maestro Yamada que fue profesor de té de María durante nuestra estancia en Nueva York.
